Re: “A Life of Crime

This article popped up in a search. I can't tell the date it was published. I knew Jimmy the last 5 years of his life. He Died in 2005. He and my mother became an "item" the last year or so of her life. They met in a nursing home. He was just an old guy with stories he no longer remembered too well. But he still told a lot of stories, I often took notes and even taped some of our conversations.

He told me where Molly was buried as good as anyone would ever be able to tell you - in a grave marked by another person's stone. That could be anywhere, and even he never could have really said.

My opinion of him was that he hung around the criminal scene and heard a lot of things. But he didn't participate in this event, he just heard those involved talking about it.

Sometimes he would talk like he was there when it happened - but overall, I think he just put himself in it to keep you sitting with him and listening. He was full of blarney.
