University of Chicago scholars discuss the roles and rights of women in the Middle East in both ancient and modern times. Presented in conjunction with the exhibit "The Life of Meresamun: A Temple Singer in Ancient Egypt," which examines the social and legal rights of women in ancient Egypt. Registration required.
