The Peterson Garden Project raises funds to transform a WWII-era "victory garden" into an organically-grown, community-raised one; at 157 beds, organizers say that it's the largest edible community garden in Chicago. This benefit features wines from Vinejoy, snacks from the Scrumptious Pantry and Provenance Food and Wine, and music by Alison O'Konis and Reciprocity. The event also includes a talk by two filmmakers working on a documentary about the garden. Reserve tickets on-line. 2501 W. Peterson.
