To the editors:

The recent letters on WFMT [Feb- ruary 16] have not put the silliness in the proper perspective. It seems the Friends of WFMT are writing to the media to express a narrow point of view, which they are welcomed to, provided they get the facts correct.

If a business is to grow and prosper, it must change with the times and not be operated for a few of their "friends," employees, and persons with a vested interest.

It is an age old problem of a very few not wanting to change with the times. I would wonder how the "Friends" can account for WNIB taking over first place in the ratings and showing a profit. WFMT has been operating at a loss for years.

What the present ownership is asking the present management to do is to have WFMT live within its income. If they want to do more, let the station bring in the income to cover the expenses.
