Our Review

Roscoe Village favorite with a menu that includes vegetarian choices—burritos stuffed with beans, cheese, sprouts, and veggies, a falafel and hummus plate, salads—plus burgers and a few chicken options. The outdoor patio is great both in warm weather and beyond—it's outfitted with an electronic awning, space heaters, and a fireplace. The drink list is extensive and the beer selection broad.

Bar Details

This Roscoe Village standby's main attraction is its beer list: 26 taps rotate a lineup of craft brews and imports sold at reasonable prices. The bar's other claim to fame? A festive enclosed beer garden that's open all year round. Village Tap also has a full menu that offers up high-quality bar grub like fish-and-chips, wings, and burgers as well as a handful of vegetarian-friendly options like burritos and cheese curds. The Tap also has one of Chicago's few old-fashioned black-and-white photo booths, from which pictures often end up taped onto the huge mirror behind the bar. —Luca Cimarusti
