As a welcome change of pace to the recent barrage of pig roasts, meat-heavy gastropub prix fixes, and rib barbecue cook-offs, chef Scott Walton of the Doubletree Hotel's Markethouse is acknowledging Vegetarian Awareness Month with an impressive-looking five-course vegetarian dinner menu that features, among other courses, a Slagel Family Farms heirloom squash soup, a sweet-corn risotto, and a brown-butter cranberry tart. As a vegetarian, please let me be the first to say, "Halle-freakin'-lujah." The seasonal menu will be available seven days a week through October. Reservations are recommended. —Kevin Warwick
