To the editor:

Section One's new layout stinks. Why move Letters and the Straight Dope to page three? The only explanation I can guess is ads, ads, ads. The new pale typeface and jumpy layouts for Hot Type and Neighborhood News let them fade away . . . rendering them nearly unreadable. By contrast, advertising copy dominates those pages. Too bad! Those were my favorite columns.
