Re: “The Heartland in Crisis

1. My wife and I love the Heartland. We travel a lot and therefore eat out a lot - and we are picky. In the last 6 months or so the Heartland has improved so much it has become our most frequent place to dine. And despite the shadows of a very distance past, the service has been wonderful as long as this 67 year old can remember!

2. The Heartland and it's constantly growing social and cultural radius is unique, diverse, and critical. It is an absolute boon to the neighborhood and a shining star for Chicago. Just come and take a look around the neighborhood and you will see the impact for yourself.

3. People have various talents and limitations. It's easy to criticize especially when it's already been spelled out for us in self-admission. But as the Heartland is a positive force - correcting mistakes, moving forward, and improving - it is something to support - not knock down. If I had a million to offer I would do it. Because the Heartland is the kind of gift that keeps giving to others in ways that are priceless. But no one is asking me for a million - just some extra support. So please join me in supporting the Heartland with a million dollars worth of good wishes, a pleasant visit, and what-ever might feel nice and right.
