Tonight or Never

A Swiss satire about an aristocratic Austrian family holding an annual banquet at which masters and servants change places; a troupe of actors turns up and performs fragments of everything from Gone With the Wind to Madame Bovary to Swan Lake. This 1972 first feature by Daniel Schmid is said to offer a veiled commentary on the dashed hopes of May 1968. With Ingrid Caven and Peter Kern. 90 min.
