Re: “Still hoping for change

@IAC you apparently like living in your delusion so enjoy it. I'm not going to spend my day explaining point by point what's going on in this country.

Re: “Still hoping for change

How about his promise to close Gitmo? Or his promise for Universal Health Care? Or Immigration Reform? Or Stopping the revolving door with lobbyists? Or reversing GW Bush's signing statements? Or Ending the Bush Tax Cuts? I'm sure there's plenty more.

But if that's not enough how about what he did that he didn't tell us he was going to do like hiring a tax cheat for our Treasury Secretary that also is a GS/Wall St Crony or slotting conservatives for his cabinet positions, for deporting the most illegal immigrants in our country's history, bailing out Wall St. instead of Main St, not immediately stopping the war in Iraq, for prosecuting whistle-blowers to the fullest extent of the law, for calling environmentalist Eco-terrorist and having them put on the terrorist list, FOR KILLING AN AMERICAN ON FOREIGN SOIL WITHOUT DUE PROCESS AND THEN DOING THE SAME TO HIS SON, for continuing military tribunals, black ops prisons and I'm sure torture, for continuing domestic wire-tapping, for declaring it ok to deploy combat troops to the mainland in direct conflict to the posse comitatus law, for signing the NDAA that allows for indefinite detention of American Citizens without due process.

Have you been paying attention or just reading the papers?

Re: “Still hoping for change

The hope is gone! We were sold out to Wall Street at the very time we needed the exact opposite. Now I'm afraid its' going to take a lot of effort to regain what we were promised as a result of electing Obama the first time. There's going to be a very big price to pay for our failure to push him and for his failure to deliver the things he promised. I guess in the long run we are the dolts for romanticizing ourselves as having elected leaders that represent us over money.
