Even the person who wrote the press synopsis appears not to know what's going on in Jayita Bhattacharya's performance script. The description is full of phrases like "seems" and "may or may not." All I can say for sure is that there's a very odd, very endearing old lady called One-Eyed Myra (Sue Cargill) who says wise, funny things and shares the stage with two other people (Debbie Strecker and Stephen Lehman) who—it seems—start out as little siblings worried about getting into trouble and—may or may not—grow up to feel a sense of loss. In a way, this show is the definition of impenetrability. But, in Jeffrey Bivens's staging for Curious Theatre Branch, it's also surprisingly resonant and compelling. A set piece in which syllables get dropped from a speech is a tour de force. Part of Rhinofest. —Tony Adler
