Dear editors:

What was it you did to bring forth the tirade from Adrian Wenner that appeared in the Letters section of the September 6 issue? Having followed the interesting career of this remarkable fellow (actor, columnist, writer, waitperson), I'm wondering if you could have made the grave error of rejecting his talent.

His column, which appeared weekly in the Daily Northwestern last year, was one of the better features of that genre he refers to as "mediocre college newspaper." His great gift, however, seems to be in the theater, and hopefully some adventurous Chicago company will recognize this and get him off your back.

Until that time, since he is willing to be paid to remove your paper from stores, perhaps you could offer him a job delivering the Reader to those of us who look forward each week to being fed your "version of the urban experience."

By the way, the parsley simile doesn't work--the herb is more than a garnish to be thrown away. It is healthy, as well as refreshing.
