Walking into the front dining room, I was greeted by the manager and offered one of the tables near the front. I chose instead to sit at the bar with several other patrons. The bartender was friendly and easy-mannered and quickly prepared my Tanqueray and tonic asking if I would like to see the menu.

From the ample menu, I chose mayonnaise fries and a 1/2-pound bleu cheese burger. The mayonnaise tasted as though it was freshly made, and the shredded cheddar atop the crisp fries and creamy mayonnaise made for perfect flavor. The burger was delicious and prepared exactly as I asked and also came with a generous helping of fries.

After the meal, I took my drink and stepped into the back bar with low couches, a pool table and more bar seating. This made for a pleasant contrast to the high table seating in the front dining area.

This bustling restaurant certainly hits the spot for food, and makes a great place to meet some of the new Andersonville locals.
