Think Galaticon Radical Leftist Science Fiction Convention, June 26-28, Roosevelt University, Chicago Think Galacticon is a literary science fiction convention that creates a space in which leftists can discuss politics and speculative fiction in an intelligent, engaging, and fun fashion. There will be multiple tracks of programming that seek to expand the boundaries of sci-fi discussions. We will explore issues of oppressive hierarchies, confronting topics of race, gender, sexuality, class, and the environment as they relate to science fiction and fantasy, and more. A few panel highlights this year will be discussions on food production, climate change, and cultural appropriation issues. Our notable guests this year include award-winning author Eleanor Arnason and activist and artist Josh MacPhee. Eleanor Arnason is an award winning science fiction author. Josh MacPhee is an artist, activist, and sci-fi fan. For more information and to register:
