I found Jake Austen's casual use of the phrase "cliche ghetto whore" ["Movin' On Up," November 4] extremely disturbing. I was fascinated by its inclusion in his critique of Aaron McGruder's Boondocks, repeatedly scanning the paragraph for some justification. Finding nothing, I was left to wonder if the author was just another absurdly cliche sloppy journalist aiming for cool, streetwise prose, or if I missed the point altogether.

Cultural insensitivity (let alone wanton ignorance) at this level of journalism really deserves better editing.
