Re: “Chef's Station

Went there for dinner with a colleague. When we arrived, there was only one table occupied, which had me somewhat worried. However, once we tasted the bread, I had raisin, he wheat, figured we'd be ok. For starters, I had figs with blue cheese. The presentation was great, the taste combination was fine, the value was so-so. My colleague ordered the crispy fried spinich. Not a sophisticated dish, but it was very tasty. For the main course, I had the vegetable strudel rolls. These were very, very good, filled with a nice array of veggies, and a smattering of cheese. For the closer, had the banana bread pudding. While it's not something to necessarily be proud of, I consider myself a fanatic. I would rate this one just above good. A hint of chocolate, and other flavors played well against each other, but overall was a little understated for my tastes. The service was attentive, without being overbearing. We both agreed that this was a place worthy of an encore, and were miffed that others obviously didn't feel that way.
