Two roommates start to antagonize each other after one becomes the other's superior at an LA car wash, and the conflict is played out with grittiness and flippancy. Assistant manager Dr. Dre, who hasn't been paying his share of the rent, insists line worker Snoop Dogg stop selling drugs at work and actually wash some cars, sparking resentment that's not without justification or irony. Eventually the kidnapping of car-wash owner George Wallace becomes the focus of this comedy's plot, leading to a cleverly developed rescue attempt, a half-slapstick shoot-out, and a gratifying reconciliation. With writer-director D.J. Pooh. 86 min.
