The Terrace

Ettore Scola's 1979 comedy, about a circle of intellectual friends reflecting on their middle-aged lives and compromised ideals, returns to the themes of Scola's earlier We All Loved Each Other So Much in examining the connections between Italian social life and 30 years of postwar cinema. With Vittorio Gassman, Marcello Mastroianni, Ugo Tognazzi, Serge Reggiani, and Stefania Sandrelli.
