Worth seeing for a rare glimpse of Noel Coward in his booming, bitchy prime, but otherwise this is a leaden and pretentious melodrama (1935) forged by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur in their desperately artsy period. Coward is a coldhearted novelist who suddenly dies; his ghost comes back and learns to be a better man. With Julie Haydon, Stanley Ridges, and Alexander Woollcott. 78 min.
