I'm sorry, sir, but you [Jonathan Rosenbaum] obviously didn't understand this film ["The Passion of the Christ," Section Two; March 5]. It was not created to emphasize the Lord's healing of people physically by way of miracles, or instructing people on how to love each other through sermons.

This film was produced to show the Suffering of the Lord, how he suffered for you and me and everybody else....Now that was the point of the film.

Let's be honest, if this was a similar movie about a different person that had no real reason for brutality, all the critics would cheer it on.
