These days, the average nude-entertainment seeker has plenty of viable options—there's Discovery Channel's Dating Naked, TLC's Buying Naked, and of course any episode of Girls where Lena Dunham eats cake on the toilet. Amid all these brand-new birthday suits, a show like The Living Canvas—photographer Pete Guither's nude projection project, now in its 13th year—needs to prove itself all the more. This version, RX, explores the effect of drugs on the body via psychedelic projections onto ten naked humans. But along with the projections come a lot of floor banging and groaning—unnecessary Laban quirks that ultimately distract from the show’s quieter, more effective moments. A hodgepodge of dance, narrative, and poetry attempts doesn't land right either: it's hard to take anyone reciting "Kubla Khan" seriously, much less when he's clothing impaired. —Chloe Riley
