Considering that no awards are given out and the emcee is the Prince of Hell, it might be more accurate to describe this Co-Governors of Space show as a roast, the roastee being mankind. It's Doomsday, see, and Satan--appearing in several different guises assumed by a cast of eight--has decided to spend earth's last 90 minutes berating humanity, as represented by the audience. This seems a poor use of his time, especially since his indictment, penned by Chris Churchill and Matthew Riggs, consists mostly of profanity and the sort of warmed-over arguments against God and morality you can hear in pretty much any freshman dorm room. Just as tiresome is Julie Espada's aimless staging, full of shrill performances and sloppy stagecraft. --Zac Thompson
