This SF adventure from producer-director Michael Bay (Armageddon) is so cheesy it should carry an advisory for the lactose intolerant. A colony of childlike adults takes part in a lottery whose winners are promised passage to a lush island, reportedly the only uncontaminated place left on earth. But as the young hero (Ewan McGregor) and his bombshell pal (Scarlett Johansson) discover, the island paradise is just a ruse, and their colony is really an organ-harvesting facility. As the wiseass engineer who helps them, Steve Buscemi supplies the only spark of intelligent life in this numbingly flat universe, despite the fancy gadgets, the high-speed chases, and a skyscraper collision reminiscent of the World Trade Center attacks. With Sean Bean and Djimon Hounsou. PG-13, 127 min.
