The Funny Things You Do

For better and for worse, this local video production feels like something you'd watch between sets at a DIY punk show: it's immature and frequently unintelligible, but everyone onscreen seems to be having a blast, the lo-fi soundtrack is pretty good, and there's an infectious energy to some of the jokes and crass video effects. The main characters are a couple of small-town nitwits who spend most of their time drinking beer and huffing fumes. They hope to strike it rich with an entry for America's Funniest Home Videos, but when they try to realize their plan they end up wreaking havoc. Jason Ogawa directed his own script.
