The Enterprising Kitchen | North Center | Store | Store
The Kitchen takes women with past trauma--ranging from incarceration to human trafficking--that prevents them from finding employment. Then it puts them to work making spa products for retail. In six- or 12-month spells, the women receive critical job and financial training, as well as "stress relief" in the form of yoga or art therapy. At the non-profit's retail store, shoppers can find anything from natural soaps to candles to body butter while supporting the group's work.
