Forget that Miguel Angel Silvestre is too gorgeous to be a boxer—with his soulful eyes, flawless profile, and rippling abs, he's a perfect apex for the romantic triangle in this 2006 noir. While doing time for his role in a robbery-homicide, he's visited by a crooked detective (Jose Coronado) who promises him a reduced sentence if he bumps off a fellow inmate. The fighter agrees, but back on the streets of Madrid he's caught between the hot widow (Belen Lopez) of the man he murdered and the cop, who's struggling to suppress his homosexual yearnings. Iñaki Dorronsoro wrote and directed this deft blend of urban thriller and Sirkian melodrama. In Spanish with subtitles. 105 min.
