One of David Bowie's stranger antics was a duet he sang with Bing Crosby on the crooner's 1977 TV Christmas special. This unlikely coupling inspired New Millennium Theatre Company's holiday spoof, back for its third annual run, in which Ziggy Stardust gets a Christmas show of his own--broadcast live from outer space. Gender-bending rockers, drugs, and glitter abound. Strung between crowd-pleasing hits, the thin plot involves a battle between Bowie and his evil alter ego, Bizarro Bowie, for dominance as the weirdest rocker in space. The show is entertainingly nostalgic despite some uneven performances. Kyle Greer is a standout as the charismatic ghost of Freddie Mercury. --Marissa Oberlander
