The Chicago Maternity Center Story

A concise 1976 history of the Chicago Maternity Center, which provided a low-cost home-delivery service to Chicago women for 75 years, coupled with an analysis of the center's breakup after falling into the hands of the health industry. Intelligent and articulate, the documentary was produced by the Chicago collective Kartemquin Films.
