October's concerts showcase three of the 20th century's most revered composers and their chamber masterworks. On the program are three pieces that have become CCM signature works: Barber's String Quartet, Op. 11 - whose achingly beautiful Adagio movement was played at both FDR and JFK's funerals and was famously incorporated into the score of Apocalypse Now; Stravinsky's dream-inspired Octet and Poulenc's jazz-influenced Sextet. CCM Ensemble Artists performing are: Michael Henoch, oboe; Larry Combs, clarinet; Dennis Michel, bassoon; Gail Williams, horn; Barbara Butler, trumpet; Charles Geyer, trumpet; Michael Mulcahy, trombone; Joseph Genualdi, violin; Jasmine Lin, violin; Meng-Chieh Liu, piano October 4, 2009 - 7:30pm Pick-Staiger Concert Hall 50 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston Tickets: $20-$40 ($10 student tickets) For Tickets, please call 312-CALL-CCM or visit
