The Bear's Wedding

The antiaristocratic ideology of the vampire tale is developed in this early Soviet effort about a bloodsucking nobleman whose exploits lead to a peasant revolt. Vladimir Gardin and Konstantin Eggert directed, from a screenplay cowritten by Lunacharsky, the Soviet commissar for enlightenment (1926).
