Ted 2

The tasteless teddy bear (given voice by writer-director Seth MacFarlane) and his emotionally retarded human pal (Mark Wahlberg) return for more snarky laughs in this sequel to the hit comedy Ted (2012), though as usual with MacFarlane, the movie is so indifferently plotted that it soon becomes a bore. The opening credits offer an irresistible dance number with Ted fronting a line of tuxedoed grooms on a giant wedding cake; nothing that follows equals it, though there is one priceless gag near the end in which moon-eyed Amanda Seyfried, attending a Comic-Con convention, comes face-to-face with her double—Gollum from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings cycle. With Jessica Barth, Giovanni Ribisi, and Morgan Freeman.
