Tarnished Lady

George Cukor's first solo effort as a director (1931) also features Tallulah Bankhead in her screen debut as a woman who falls in love with Clive Brook after marrying him for his money. Donald Ogden Stewart, another Cukor favorite, wrote the script, which is described as a satire of New York society. With Osgood Perkins, Phoebe Foster, and Elizabeth Patterson.
