A little-known film from Luis Buñuel's Mexican period (1951), with a plot that sounds close to Buñuel's heart. Susana (Rosita Quintana), a sultry young peasant girl, escapes from the reform school where she has been sent for moral lassitude, and finds shelter on the estate of a rich landowner. Beginning with the overseer, she systematically seduces all of the available men, turning the model bourgeois family into a beehive of jealousy and resentment. With Fernando Soler and Victor Manuel Mendoza. In Spanish with subtitles. 86 min.
