Re: “Friday night: take pictures for Tamms inmates

Mr. Worley, I see you attempted to write an article. You might want to brush up on your writing skills. A sentence with 104 words is a bit much, don't you think? And then there is the confusion regarding the date of the event on which you are reporting. Is today Thursday, October Fourth or does the event you are reporting on happen Friday, October Fourth? If your article had opened with the second paragraph (dropping “Meanwhile”) it would appear that you wanted to inform people of this exhibition. Do your readers know that recently employees at the Tamms Correctional Institution were given pink slips, yet at the same time inmates were being moved TO the prison? There is a story here for a good reporter to sink his/her teeth into. Perhaps one of your colleagues would be interested. And by the way, these “agitators” as you call them, are spouses, children, and friends of the inmates. I encourage anyone who stumbled upon this stab at reporting public information to go to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago website. “The usual organizer's clutter” is elaborated upon.
