Lookingglass presents a short original film about the 1919 race riots in Chicago, incited by the murder of Eugene Williams, a Black teenager who was stoned to death by a mob of whites when he drifted into a "whites only" section of Lake Michigan. J. Nicole Brooks wrote the spoken word piece, which features a musical selection from composer and cornetist Ben LaMar Gay and choreographed movement featuring artist Adeoye. Wendy Mateo and Lorena Diaz direct. It's free through YouTube.
