When Richard Jenkins and Mary Steenburgen marry, each brings to the new household a lumpish middle-aged son; these overgrown ten-year-olds (Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly) instantly dislike each other, and the battle is on. Ferrell, director Adam McKay, and producer Judd Apatow first collaborated on Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and Reilly climbed aboard for the inferior Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby; this comedy is the team's third, and weakest, project.
