Our Review
The Star Lounge Cafe quenches a variety of thirsts. Packed on even a random Monday evening with friends busying themselves by sipping coffee and playing Scrabble, it also housed those who'd had a bit rougher of a day, pulling swigs from bottles of hard booze that they BYOB'd in their backpacks. A stage area is set up in the back of the room for acoustic (or not) bands to play, and there's a very welcoming back patio where you can bring your dog if you want. Prices are fair, $3-$3.50 for espresso drinks, $3 for bottomless coffee, and the fresh-baked chocolate-chip-and-bacon cookies are worth the trip alone. If you're stopping in for lunch, the cafe offers a wide selection of paninis such as the hummus veggie and Beef N' Blue (roast beef with blue cheese) for $6.50. There's free WiFi and a kids' menu and play area.
