After surviving a high-voltage shock, a surgeon (Derek Long) develops a craving for electricity and gets recruited by a like-minded cult of juicers; eventually he implants everyone's wrists with two-pronged plugs and sockets so they can turn themselves into a human extension cord. Writer-director Sean Abley plays fast and loose with the conceit, blowing off even the pseudoscience one expects from such a story and using electric current as a metaphor for so many different things—addiction, orgasm, memory, rage—that it loses its, uh, power. After a while the whole thing begins to seem pretty silly, burdened additionally by Abley's glib dialogue and Long's dyspeptic performance. With Matthew Montgomery and Alexandra Billings. 93 min.
