We started with the ceviche trio - hamachi, fire and ice and the pink shrimp. The hamachi was our favorite and we really liked the pink shrimp. The fire and ice was interesting because and first we did not taste the fire but the second bite we really tasted the spicy/cool contrast. Next we moved on to the tapas menu and chose a flatbread with hot dip. The waitress was full of great recommendations, so we chose one of her favorites, mini fish tacos. This was my favorite of all predinner courses. Because we had so many predinner treats, we split the seared ahi tuna entree. The fillet rested on grits that were unbelievable. The flavors exploded in my mouth. I had the white sangria and a mojito. Both drinks were outstanding. All of the team members were prompt, curteous, and on the ball. A well-oiled machine! DeLaCosta was an expensive meal but a great place to go and experience the atmosphere and the incredible food. You are not just paying for the food here. You are paying for the entire experience.
