Re: “Thai Pastry

Thai Pastry is a wonderful new addition to the thai food scene on the North side. They have various exotic looking pastries (well, to me at least!) in a display case near the front door tempting you when you come in, and again when you leave. The service was cordial and timely. The room felt spacious and bright. The dishes were typical, but the eggrolls were outstanding, filled with yummy goodness. Also, the chive dumplings were some of the best I have ever had. Good experience!

Re: “Frontera Grill

Frontera Grill is always an enjoyable experience. We usually sit at the bar and watch all of the action taking place. The skilled bartenders are very efficient and mix up a mean margarita. I could drink many of those mezcal margaritas. Yum. Our waiter in the bar area was very good, attentive, and nice. Our Cazuela de puerco appetizer served with warm corn tortillas was a new dish for us and it has now moved onto the favorites list. Viva Mexico!

Re: “Tre Kronor

This was only my second visit to Tre Kronor- a restaurant that I've walked past for years. It's a gem in an area that is in need of good dining establishments. It's a neighborhoody, homey, where-everybody-knows-your-name kind of place. We enjoyed it.

Re: “Mity Nice Grill

Overall good experience- the salad was actually really good. Everything else was just OK. Also, the table was a little too close to the bathrooms and you could smell the cleaning products which was off-setting.

The service was very good and the server explained to us that on that particular day they had just begun their new menu and the computer system had failed them. So considering that I didn't complain about my ravioli coming out lukewarm. It was still pretty good.

Re: “Thai Pastry

Thai Pastry proved wonderful once again. It was quite busy for a Sunday night, and the server was pretty harried. But aside from waiting a little bit longer than usual for the food, the experience was enjoyable. And although she was very busy, our server was always very gracious. And my panang curry was amazing.
