Shula's Steak House | Near North | American, Steaks/Lobster, Bar/Lounge | Restaurant
Chain steak house in the Sheraton lobby that's a shrine to former Dolphins coach Don Shula: lots of football memorabilia, mediocre food.

Our Review

This steak house in the Sheraton Hotel, the 12th in a national chain, is a shrine to former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula. There's football memorabilia everywhere -- pictures, gear, even a football-shaped menu. Despite the gridiron spin, it's basically expensive hotel dining: $90 buys an obscenely huge (48 ounces) porterhouse and membership in the "48-ounce club" if you finish it off. There's also a more modest 12-ounce filet mignon ($37) and fish and chicken options. It's all palatable, but the food and atmosphere pale in comparison to local favorites.
