The Plagiarists' new science-fiction spoof milks a clever concept for more than it's worth. In a series of short sketches, the audience is taken on "rides" to outer space, beneath the sea, and inside the human body (a la Fantastic Voyage). As each story line develops, viewers vote on which direction the narrative should take at key crisis points. It's an amusing setup, especially for fans of vintage low-budget sci-fi. But it goes on too long—especially since the audience is schlepped in and out of the seating area between each vignette and forced to wait for each new scene to be set up. The knowingly immature sexual humor runs out of steam midway through the show; far more enjoyable are the playfully tacky handmade puppets and cutouts used to represent sea creatures, asteroids, enemy spaceships, and so on. —Albert Williams
