Challenged with canned tuna, Ronnie Higgins (Bangers & Lace, Bar DeVille) makes a tropical mule with white rum, mango, and "tuna juice."

The ingredients: Matusalem Platino rum, liquid from a drained can of tuna packed in sea water, Crofter's mango spread

Place a bar spoon of mango spread in the bottom of a shaker.

Add two ounces of lime juice.

A dash of simple syrup

Three quarters of an ounce "tuna juice"

And one and a half ounces of Matusalem Platino or other white rum

Add ice, cap, and shake.

Strain into a collins glass rimmed with tuna juice and sea salt.
