A young woman (Catherine Kellner) and her ex-boyfriend (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) take off in a beat-up Chevelle for a cross-country tour of toxic waste dumps she's been assigned to monitor for the Department of Energy. After their car collides with something in the middle of the night she begins to suspect they're guilty of a hit-and-run death, and soon they find themselves in a sort of backroads limbo, driving endlessly without burning any gas. Writer-director Leslie McCleave knows how to stir the pot, dropping various weird or menacing characters in the couple's path, but by the end of the movie's 92 minutes it still isn't soup yet.
