Pier 5736 is a small seafood and fish restaurant on the north side that is worth the drive because of the incredible prices. A friend told me about the place and I definitely will be going back. They have fresh fish daily and have a $10 special every night. We are definitely going back on Tuesday when they have five $10 specials. I had the special mahi mahi that they made to my request to have it blackened. My husband ordered the tilapia with a tomato, garlic, butter sauce. Both were great. Each entree comes with a salad, vegetable and potatoes. We had a bottle of wine that was excellent for $21. The prices are unbelievable for the quality of meal that you are served. The chef came out to check on us. My husband loves scallops and they were not on the menu. The chef said to call 48 hours ahead and they would get them for him next time. We had a chocolate bundt cake for dessert that was reason enough to go back. Our server was a part owner in the restaurant. I loved the special attention he gave us and definitely will be back.

Re: “

Los Nopales is a great family-owned Mexican restaurant. BYOB makes this a cheap date, but the quality of food makes it great. You are first given a choice of two salsas with chips that are homeade and have a hint of sweetness. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and had tons to bring home! I had enchiladas and my husband had a burrito. Both were great, but a great burrito for $4.50. How can you beat that? I live in the neighborhood and am thrilled to have a great little spot like this close by. You cannot get this good of Mexican food for the prices.

Re: “Tank Sushi

I am not a sushi expect by any means, but I love Tank sushi. My husband and I live in the neighborhood and like to try out the new restaurants that keep popping up in Lincoln Square. Our first visit was during the week and the place was empty. The waitress took a lot of time to answer questions that we had about the menu. We loved everything we ate and appreciated the diverse menu. When we went back for a second time with sushi experts, and they loved it more than us! I feel like I have learned about sushi from the staff and I have gained quite an appreciation. Tank is a fun place for a group on the weekends and a great neighborhood spot during the week. They also have delivery and take out options too! A great spot to pick up a dinner for home too!

Tank was BYOB and is said to be getting a liquor license soon!
