Revenge of the Pink Panther | Chicago Reader

Revenge of the Pink Panther

One of the few wholly forgettable films that Blake Edwards has made in his long and often brilliant career. Sequelitis gets to everyone sooner or later, and Edwards finally succumbed: this, the fifth outing for Inspector Clouseau, is diffuse in its structure and not very imaginative in its situations. Even Peter Sellers's accent is slipping. Tired, uncommitted, and only sporadically funny, it's a major disappointment.
