In conjunction with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s three-week Beethoven Festival, a panel discussion, Reinventing Beethoven: A Composer for All Times, features Austrian professor Dr. Federico Celestini, currently visiting at the U. of C., Juilliard dean Ara Guzelimian, and composer Gerard McBurney. CSO program annotator Phillip Huscher moderates. A performance by Robert Chen, John Sharp, and Meng-Chieh Liu of Beethoven’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major follows.
