Lisa Langford's comedy gets an audio play production with 16th Street Theater, paired with illustrations by artist Roy Thomas and directed by Lanise Antoine Shelley. Inspired by the story of "brown-skin robots" developed by Westinghouse in 1930, Langford's play examines the "post-racial" friendship of Needra and Marlene, interrupted by the appearance of the robots and "a glitch in the time-space continuum" that places them at opposite ends of the social ladder in a past timeline.
