Re: “The Heartland in Crisis

They have been running this place for 35 years and grown it from one storefront to 11, and run up $118,000 in check kiting charges in two years? Hello? Didn't know how banks work? What planet is he from? Managing cash flow in an obviously over-extended small business by playing the float to THAT extent might get the attention of the States Attorney. But thanks for putting it in the paper! AND it was shut down for a week by the Health Department??? Uh, the Health Dept. doesn't close a place like the Heartland Cafe without ALOT of warnings. The Heartland Cafe, et al.: a so-called Chicagoland Institution: Good-bye! The end is near. I'm not kicking in $200 or $10 with kind of disingenuous if not crookity ineptitude steering the tiller. Sounds like you need new and professional management. Good luck!
