To the editors:

I wish to call attention to an omission in Florence Hamlish Levinsohn's otherwise excellent article on "School Revolt" [May 26].

The findings of a frequently-cited study by William J. Fowler and Herbert J. Walberg are reported in the article. Unfortunately, the author failed to mention that Fowler is a researcher with the U.S. Department of Education and Walberg is a research professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). The Department and UIC deserve mention for supporting this valuable research.
